Tony Cruz
Since immigrating to Canada in 2011, Tony has obtained a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Victoria and a Master of Physical Therapy degree from the University of British Columbia. Tony uses an education and client-centered exercise approach to Physiotherapy sessions. Tony also holds a Level 1 Orthopaedic Manual Therapy certification and as of October 2022 is certified in IMS Dry Needling. Tony’s clinical experience includes total knee and hip replacements, sports injuries, Parkinson’s, and falls prevention, among others. His hope is to promote safety and improvements in independence while bringing a smile to your face.
Prior to Canada, Tony was a high-level baseball player training under major league organizations in the Dominican Republic until deciding to pursue further education. Since then, Tony has volunteered to work with MLB teams’ athletic therapists in the Dominican Republic, worked with the Vikes athletic at the university of Victoria as a Kinesiology student, including the Men’s and Women’s rowing teams, and worked in Victoria, B.C. as a Kinesiologist.
In his spare time Tony enjoys exploring new cooking and baking recipes with his fiancée, volunteering at his church, keeping up with the latest technology, and working up a sweat in the beautiful outdoors of BC.
Tony is fluent in English and Spanish, and works Monday and Thursdays from 1:30 to 7pm.
